Series Description
Ventilation in buildings can result in significant heat loss and increased energy consumption. Mitsubishi Electric Lossnay Heat Recovery Ventilation Systems can recover up to 70% of the energy that would otherwise be lost through ventilation during heating or cooling.
Lossnay systems not only reduce energy consumption and operating costs but can also help reduce the initial cost of HVAC equipment by up to 30%, as heat recovery may allow the installation of lower-capacity heating and cooling systems.
Lossnay ventilation units recover both sensible and latent heat, helping to balance not only the temperature but also the moisture content of the incoming fresh air and the extracted indoor air.
Thanks to a specially designed total heat recovery core, incoming fresh air is cooled and dehumidified in summer, while in winter it is heated and humidified using energy recovered from the exhaust air.
The heat exchanger incorporates a specially developed material with selective permeability. This allows water vapor to pass through the heat exchanger membrane while helping to prevent the transfer of contaminants, such as carbon dioxide and ammonia, between the exhaust and supply air streams.

VL-50S2-E, VL-50ES2-E, VL-50SR2-E
Wall-Mounted Heat Recovery Ventilation Unit (Airflow: 51 m³/h)
VL-50 Wall-Mounted Lossnay Heat Recovery Ventilation Units
To maintain a healthy and comfortable indoor environment, it is important to provide an effective fresh air ventilation system. Mitsubishi Electric Lossnay heat recovery ventilation units offer an efficient solution in terms of cost, comfort, reliability, and energy savings.
Lossnay units feature Mitsubishi Electric's patented heat recovery core, which transfers both heat and moisture between incoming fresh air and outgoing exhaust air.
In winter, the incoming fresh air is preheated and humidified using energy recovered from the warm exhaust air. In summer, the incoming air is partially cooled and dehumidified.
This process not only reduces energy consumption but also helps maintain a healthier and more comfortable indoor environment.
The Lossnay heat recovery core has no moving parts, making maintenance relatively simple. Routine maintenance mainly involves cleaning the filters and heat exchanger.

GUG-SL-E – Direct Expansion (DX) Cooling and Heating Unit
The Mitsubishi Electric GUG-SL-E direct expansion (DX) cooling and heating unit is designed for connection to the supply air outlet of Lossnay LGH-RVX and LGH-RVXT Series heat recovery ventilation units.
The system offers two methods of controlling cooling and heating capacity:
Room Temperature Control: Based on the temperature measured in the extract air duct.
Supply Air Temperature Control: Based on the temperature of the air supplied to the room (except for the GUG-01SL-E model).
In the first mode, the system maintains the desired temperature in the conditioned space.
In the second mode, the unit removes excess heat from the incoming air during summer or preheats the supply air during winter.
Mitsubishi Electric Mr. Slim PUHZ-ZRP Series outdoor units are used as condensing units. A list of compatible outdoor units is provided in the Product Brochure.
Control System
The GUG-SL-E unit incorporates two printed circuit boards (PCBs) within its control box.
One PCB, based on the PAC-IF013B-E controller, manages communication and operation with the outdoor condensing unit.
The second PCB provides communication and coordination with the Lossnay LGH-RVX(T) ventilation unit.
Remote Control
The system is operated using a dedicated wired wall-mounted controller, supplied as standard.
The controller provides the following functions:
ON/OFF control of the entire system.
Selection of operating modes: Cooling, Heating, and Ventilation.
Adjustment of the desired temperature.
An additional PZ-61DR-E remote controller (optional) can be connected to the Lossnay ventilation unit to configure its advanced functions.
Important Compatibility Note
For compatibility with the GUG-SL-E unit, Lossnay LGH-RVX Series ventilation units must meet the following requirements:
