All MXZ-F models feature an automatic system for checking the correct connection of refrigerant piping and communication wiring, with automatic correction of incorrect connections.
No additional refrigerant charging is required. All MXZ-F models are factory-charged with a sufficient amount of R32 refrigerant to operate with any total refrigerant piping length within the specified limits.
The performance characteristics of systems with different indoor unit combinations can be calculated using the MXZ Multi-Split Systems Selection Tool.
The following parameters can be calculated:
Total capacity (cooling/heating), including minimum and maximum values.
Power consumption (cooling/heating), including minimum and maximum values.
Operating current (cooling/heating).
Power factor (cooling/heating).
Individual capacity of each indoor unit in cooling and heating modes.

Independent Operation of Indoor Units
The indoor units in this system operate independently of one another, except that simultaneous operation in cooling and heating modes is not possible.
Special PAC-MK34BC(B) and PAC-MK54BC(B) branch boxes are used to distribute refrigerant to the indoor units. These branch boxes contain a set of electronically controlled expansion valves. A maximum of two branch boxes can be connected to a single system.
The PAC-MK34BC(B) and PAC-MK54BC(B) branch boxes do not require condensate drainage and are not equipped with drain pans.
The fan's external static pressure can be increased to 30 Pa using DIP switch SW6-5 on the outdoor unit's control board.
High corrosion-resistance versions of the PUMY-SP112/125/140V/YKM-BS outdoor units are available upon request.
The system supports centralized control using controllers designed for CITY MULTI VRF systems.
