ZUBADAN Inverter — Advanced Heating Technology
Mitsubishi Electric introduces the ZUBADAN series of heat pump systems. The Japanese name ZUBADAN means "super heating." Conventional air-source heat pumps experience a reduction in heating capacity as outdoor temperatures decrease. At −20°C, heating capacity may be approximately 40% lower than the nominal value measured at +7°C. This limitation has traditionally restricted the use of conventional air conditioners as primary heating systems in regions with severe winters. Mitsubishi Electric's ZUBADAN technology has significantly changed this approach.
Stable Heating Capacity
Mitsubishi Electric ZUBADAN Inverter systems maintain their nominal heating capacity at outdoor temperatures as low as −15°C. At lower temperatures, heating capacity gradually decreases, although ZUBADAN systems retain a significant advantage over conventional inverter and POWER Inverter systems. Certain ZUBADAN models are designed to operate at outdoor temperatures down to −28°C, depending on the model and operating conditions.
Comfortable and Rapid Heating
The refrigerant injection control system is optimized to deliver maximum heating capacity when required, particularly during startup in a cold room. The same technology improves defrosting performance by reducing the time needed to remove frost from the outdoor heat exchanger. Faster defrost cycles help maintain a comfortable indoor temperature with minimal interruption to heating operation.
Two-Phase Refrigerant Injection Technology
Mitsubishi Electric's advanced two-phase refrigerant injection technology helps maintain stable heating performance at low outdoor temperatures. By injecting refrigerant into the compressor under controlled conditions, the system compensates for the reduction in heating capacity normally associated with falling outdoor temperatures.
